Meet the team
Neil is Operations Manager and one of our Transport managers, who started working for Panex in 1999.
In addition to those responsibilities, ensuring we are legal and FORS compliant, Neil also works in our Transport office and works closely with our existing and new business clients.
In his spare time, you’re likely to find Neil doing something sporty.
Whether it’s playing golf, tennis, running, snooker, at the gym, or even watching his 2 sons playing County league or Southern league football – he‘s always on the go!
Anson is one of our Transport Managers and has been with Panex since 2005.
As well as all responsibilities of a Transport Manager, ensuring we stay legal and FORS compliant, Anson works in our Transport office and supervises our storage facilities.
In his spare time, Anson is a keen F1 racing fanatic, kept busy with his 2 Whippets, Penny and Rory and loves to spend time surfing at his favourite place in Croyde.
In his younger days, Anson raced Intercontinental “A” karts to National level!
Matt joined us in 2015 and is our Senior Transport Co-ordinater.
Fluent in Polish, he specialises in producing and overseeing our Customs paperwork for our export deliveries.
He’s also our “go to person” if something needs fixing with a hammer or a drill!
A very active father of 2 young boys, he spends his spare time being Dad’s taxi taking them to their various sporting activities and generally joining in with them.
Matt never says “no” to a coffee during the day but still remains calm even when extremely busy. It’s probably because he has his desk chair almost horizontal!
Dave joined our team in 2019 and his main role is Transport Co-ordinator.
If he’s not assisting our clients on the phone and the need arises, you may also see Dave driving one of our vehicles.
In his spare time, Dave enjoys cooking at home and is an avid Gloucester Rugby supporter.
As a season ticket holder, he goes to watch all the home matches at the ground in Kingsholm and has met many of the players in person.
If he can’t get to an away match, you can bet he’ll be watching it on TV!
Steve joined Panex in 2013 and is our in-house Trainer.
As well as delivering FORS driver compliancy training to our own drivers, he is also a qualified ITSSAR approved forklift trainer for our own staff and our clients too!
With his excellent organisational skills, Steve assists the Directors and Transport Managers with co-ordinating and record keeping for our FORS compliancy.
These organisational skills were obviously learnt during his 26yr career in the Royal Logistic Corp, before he retired and joined our “family” (his own words).
When he’s not training or organising, you will often find him in the cab driving of one of our fleet of lorries.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys family life and is a keen spectator of local football.
During his military career, Steve was a member of a team that were world record holders for cycling around Australia!
Grace has been with us since 2015 and has the very important role of Accounts Clerk and is therefore responsible for maintaining accurate financial records.
Whether it’s financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing invoices and statements and processing payments, credit control or making sure our suppliers and wages are paid on time, with Grace’s exceptional organising skills – she keeps us all in check!
Grace is a mum of 2 teenagers and when she’s not at work, much of her time is spent supporting them play local youth football or being “Mum’s taxi”.
Whenever she is able, a weekend away (complete with a hot tub) lets her take time out of her hectic life…. And relax 😁
Ellie is our Admin Support Assistant who joined our team in 2023. She’s a spreadsheet expert and works part-time, keeping our warehousing schedules up to date, whilst continuing with her education.
Ellie loves anything to do with MARVEL and is currently studying Creative I-media and film studies. Ellie is also a keen Arctic Monkeys fan and loves to watch them on tour and listen to their music.
Simon is a Director who joined Panex when it was in its infancy, way back in 1993 and has helped to grow our company to what it is now.
In his spare time, he is a keen motorcyclist (fair weather only) and amongst his many hobbies, loves to collect and play guitars. In his younger days, you would often find him playing guitar on stage with local rock bands.
Simon is often approached by strangers who say he is a perfect Richard Branson lookalike 😁
Chrissy is a Director who amalgamated her own courier business with Panex in 1994.
Along with her fellow Director, she has helped to grow Panex to what it is today.
A dog lover and having owned German Shepherd dogs for over 30 years, her spare time is spent either walking, training, or doing various activities with her current long-haired GSD Alfie.
She’s also the owner of an elderly Jack Russel terrier Danny, who came to her some years ago for a short holiday and ended up staying!
The rest of the team have a nickname for her, which was originally started by Matt……she is affectionately referred to as “Queen”
